RYA Training Charts & Training Almanac so that you can gain practical experience in managing navigation and planning for tides in a huge range of simulated harbours. These training resources are based on some of the world's most intricate passage planning puzzles.
Navigation tools: course plotter, dividers, 2B pencil & eraser so that you have everything you need to plan you next adventure and use the skills you learn in this course.
Personal online course user account so you can fit your studies in around your life and return to your completed lessons as often as you like. We make it easy to start learning the day you enrol.

Previous Experience
No previous navigation experience nor special skills and knowledge are required before taking this course since this is an introduction to inshore navigation and safety.
Course Duration
The navigation training course takes around 8 hours in total to complete, but it is structured so you can take it at your own pace.
Personal Device Requirements
This course has been developed by the RYA and run with a PC, Mac or tablet with internet access and pop-ups enabled. This course will not run on a smart phone.

Our practical courses are run on “Mohawk” a Bennetau 40.7, which is ideal for training in a safe and comfortable environment. Our training ground is the Whitsunday region in Queensland. All courses are run from our base at Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach.
Your instructors are RYA qualified and will ensure your learning experience is fun, and exciting. We adapt the courses to suit all learning styles and personal preferences. The accommodation and food will set the ideal learning environment to ensure that you have a fantastic week with us.
