You’re invited to join us on an exclusive 3-day ladies only sailing course that teaches you how to crew, skipper and boat handling skills. It doesn’t matter if you have no experience, we will show you the ropes! This course aims to teach you what you need to know so that your days spent on the water are safe and enjoyable.

What will I Learn on this Course?

This ladies-only course is designed for absolute beginners or those wishing to build on their experience. You will take part in all aspects of sailing, including navigation, sail trimming, safely hoisting and lowering sails, boat mooring etc. We don’t want you to feel limited to what you can do because you can do it all! All sessions are taught by experienced women instructors who will encourage you to progress at your own pace.

Is accommodation included?

Yes, on all days of your course we offer all inclusive packages which include; bedding, breakfast, lunch and dinner + snacks.

What kind of Boat will we be using?

We’ll be using a Beneteau First 40 S2 monohull. She’s a great all-rounder and looks quite sleek for a training vessel. Her interior is cosy and well laid out for her size; and with 2 double cabins and one single cabin, she can easily host up to 7 people without feeling cramped.

Mainstay Sailing, through its owners, directors and all its staff will deliver the highest level of training and services to its customers and associates. Whether you have never been on a yacht, or you just want to learn a bit more, we offer professionally run courses which will give you internationally recognised qualifications.

If you are planning to charter locally or internationally, we can offer courses which will give you the knowledge and ability to make it safe and enjoyable, as well as the certificate to present to the charter company.

Our practical courses are run on “Mohawk” a Bennetau 40.7, which is ideal for training in a safe and comfortable environment. Our training ground is the Whitsunday region in Queensland. All courses are run from our base at Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach.

Your instructors are RYA qualified and will ensure your learning experience is fun, and exciting. We adapt the courses to suit all learning styles and personal preferences. The accommodation and food will set the ideal learning environment to ensure that you have a fantastic week with us.
